Lolpul Networking
An experimental Go networking foundation with reusable components, explicit contracts and controlled Linux lab verification.

Overview
Lolpul Networking explores a common software foundation for different network transports. The current scope is experimental software with controlled lab validation, not a released consumer VPN service.
Problem
Adding a different connection mechanism should not require duplicating an application's networking logic. The project investigates explicit boundaries between application behavior, session responsibilities and concrete transports.
My role
My work covers the Go networking foundation, component contracts, transport integration, service boundaries and Linux-based verification tooling.
- Shared networking components and service boundaries
- Contract tests and resource lifecycle checks
- Controlled Linux / Docker verification environments
Architecture
An application boundary connects to a shared networking foundation. Transport-specific components sit behind defined contracts, with service-side components completing the interaction. The public diagram describes responsibilities rather than production nodes or configuration.
Engineering decisions
Common networking behavior lives in a shared Go foundation rather than being repeated in each platform application. Logical session responsibilities are separated from concrete transport implementations.
Contract tests and controlled labs complement component tests. This makes failure and cleanup behavior reproducible while keeping claims about real-world network behavior within the evidence.
Challenges
The work includes stable interfaces, cancellation, timeouts, resource ownership and cleanup across asynchronous components. A further challenge is distinguishing lab observations from production assumptions.
Stack
Go, Linux, Docker, networking components, contract tests and controlled lab tooling.
Result
An experimental networking foundation with reusable boundaries and lifecycle verification. The public showcase explains the engineering approach without exposing protocol internals or private integration details.
